I remember that to reset the timing belt warning light on my 92 Surf there was a rubber plug in the speedo glass that when removed allowed access to a reset button inside the speedo.
My 99 Hilux has no such thing. So how do I reset the light when it comes on at 150000 klm? The Gregories manual is no help.

Not sure if it is the same as the hilux but there has been some discussion on the Surf site regarding the 3.0 Surf T/B reset.

I've been wondering the same thing about my 78 series Troopy - no rubber plug in the speedo cover. Anyone know?

Cheers

Not familiar with the 99 lux mine has the rubber plug but a few vehicles you turn the ignition to the on position (lights illuminated) while holding the trip reset in. Anything is worth a go I suppose.
