Hi
So pleased to chat with someone who has 4WDd in the Kimberleys. We live in
Brisbane. We are novices so we cant help you with the
lawn hill gulf area. Were thinking of travelling to the Kimberleys
Pilbara district May/June. What do you think. Should we fly to Kulumbura and 4wd in and around and go to
Shark Bay. Fly back to
Brisbane leaving from
Broome. Whats the price of petrol?
Thanks
Veronica

Hi Veronica
Thanks for the reply
Regarding the
kimberley trip, it is a must thing to do BUT if you are driving be prepared to sit behind the wheel for some long periods (11700 klms)
But on the good side of things there is a lot of beautiful country you will miss if you fly.
We travelled along the
Gibb river road that is a must.We travelled down the Tanami and the Simpsom deserts to
Birdsville.
We travelled in April.
May /June should be a good time weather wise
Petrol was all around the $1 mark, through the desert, up to $1.30 That was April 99
We did not travel any further south than
Broome.
Hope this helps and in joy your trip
