Yes I do, had a NGT previously.
Both are truly excellent radios, the Envoy being latest generation is faster to tune and certainly clearer.
The Envoys handset and firmware is very good to use, very user friendly.

Having said that the NGT would not disappoint any user, it all comes down to $$$

Hi John

We’ve had out NGT for years and works well for us. But was reading about the Envoy recently after it caught my attention and interested to hear what influenced you to change from the NGT to the Envoy.

Cheers, Baz…

Was fitting out the new Troopy and thought I may as well take the opportunity to upgrade a number of items at the same time rather than refit the old stuff, the HF was one of them.
Faster tuning, greater clarity, new handset is very user friendly, easy to update firmware via a USB as opposed to requiring a dealer to do the job, smaller profile autotune in the 3040.
But as I said above, the NGT remains an excellent radio and for most users who have one its probably not worth the $$ to change unless your a toy man :)

Thnaks John, and that sounds like a good reason to update when upgrading! We have the 3040 auto-tune and works brilliantly!

Cheers, Baz
