We have just picked up a QX Prado 2012. I thought it came with a 87 litre tank according to the manual but my wife fuelled up with 97 litres and lots of room for more fuel. I am not sure whether it has dual tanks. Can anyone advise me before I head off to Toyota tommorrow. Thanks johno

Take it is a VX not QX Prado. 150 litres total fuel in the Prado 150. My 120 has 180 litres.

As said 150 lts. If you look underneath there are 2 tanks, 100 + 50
they act as one automatically so there are no user controls.

there is a filter between the tanks above the rear prop shaft that has to be changed but is often left as it is a pain to get to. Make sure this is changed and also the one in the engine bay at least every 20000 km. Dont let the dealer tell you it doesnt need it. Also carry a spare of each incase you pick up some watery fuel.

enjoy the prado, make sure, if its a diesel, only use BPultimate diesel (48 cetane) and get the injector feedbacks read every 6 months.
cheers

Minor detail but the tanks are actually 87 litres and 63 litres.

I have the same in the 80, but have manual change over, fuelled up at Lakeland Downs and the second (50lt) took 67lts, when I questioned the rather burly operator, he replied "so", I took discretion to be the better part of valour and continued on my way.
