If you are looking for the convention centre its at Dakabin not Northlakes. They have I think about 22 caravan sites for casual travellers and about 150 powered sites for a club event. Have a look at their website:

From what I have been told it is a good place to stay. Also told no alcohol or cigarettes allowed on site. Larry

Pine Rivers
Showgrounds Is A good alternative in the same general area. It is close to public transport and also the Northlakes and
Redcliffe areas

Have just spent 3 weeks at the Lawnton (Pine River)
Showgrounds. $20 night all amenities. Markets there every Saturday morning. For the men next to Supercheap (maybe autobarn) anyway one of those mens stores. Great fruit
shop, even better butcher, Bunnings 5 mins walk. Close to train station.

I was in
Brisbane for the weekend and actually drove past the SDA Centre at Northlakes. I counted about 6-8 vans there...
So open for business by the looks of it.
