Not only was yesterday my birthday but today is my partners birthday.

I won't tell you how old she is, I am to much of a gentleman to do that only to say that I am still older than she is.

Happy Birthday Girl, your still a good bit of recovery gear and I will take you anywhere.

Hi Willem
Gentleman I am for sure, you should know that by now as I actually let you sit in my Troopy at LD, Remember!!!!!!!!!

My big concern is what happened to your slice of Birthday cake.
I posted it to you 2 days ago Willem so you should have it soon??????

Unless one of those drug sniffing dogs at Aus Post ate it first.

Andrew and Jen did you guys get yours ?

Regards
John

I got my Cake in the mail today - was yummy but the cream was starting to go a bit cheesy. Cherries were firm and plump still, the texture of the cake was moist just like the ones I make in the Cobb - only better.

The most common question Jen gets asked is, "How do you put up with him?" And now you are starting on the same line Willem!! It's a conspiracy!!!! :-))))))

Hey Des Lexic - did you catch the post from Leroy (might have been on LD return post) - he wasted a precious 4 minutes of his time reading our dribble. I miss Jim. Gosh, doctors reckon laughter is the best medicine - well around Australia and the World they have laughter clus (I saw it on SBS - my mind gets a bit bored at this time of the year) and who needs to join a laughter club - I think we already belong to one. This Forum has saved my sanity (or lack thereof) this year.

Oh thank goodness, Mrs. Al. I was a little shocked by your reply that it was 'to early for you'. It was about 5:30 here and about 6:30 where you were - now I realise it was because it wasn't your birthday. Silly thing. My Morther reckons, once the sun is over the yardarm it is o.k. to have a rum - and then she reckons the sun is always over the yardarm somewhere in the world. She's about to be 78 and I think it's because she's pickled in rum that she's still going strong - to the races, drinking rum, playing cards like a card sharp etc. (I do not take after her in anyway - I did not have a drink until I was 30 and that was Cream Sherry which put me off for another few years). Last night I was having a gentle Gin & Tonic - because there is quinine in the tonic and it stops me from getting malaria.
Willem, there is still plenty of a very nice Merlot left from our large wine selection at the races last year - Ian has a younger sister who is on her way to becoming an alcoholic - she prefers to think of herself as a wine buff. hahahaha (hope she doesn't read this) Failing that I've got some Glen Fiddich waiting for an occasion. This year might be the year!!

Willem - I didn't want to share the Merlot with you anyway - luckily there's still plenty of white left as well. Don't panic though - it's always "beer o'clock" here, e.g. Men's Breakfast last Sunday which started at 8:30 a.m. (drinking beer - yuk).

My garden alas is looking ill...not enough rain here, maybe in the winter time if we get some.

What a hansome Aunty! Is she related to this site owner?

I have about over 1000 pics in my database. Maybe I will just give in and start posting silly pics like you lot. How about Judith's goldfish to start with.....hahahahahaha

Ruth,

I may have been an exhibitionist in the past but old age has put body contours where I do not want them. So I am really rather shy and do not do Callum tricks any more:-)) Lucky you I don't drink Merlot!!!

What the hell is going on at this site.

I come here to hear about four wheel drives and all I get is:
1. Willem talking about the olden days when he was a nudie
2. Ruth thinking about Willem as a nudie and drinking merlot
3. Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa digging out a pic of herself ten years ago and calling it her grannie.

How about talking about the independent front end on my 100 series or fishing?

Well, Willem is right - this thread is too long, I couldn't find the start to put this mesage up. I have spent all afternoon working (unlike Andrew) and should have been tuned in trying to control you lot, obviously not much work done around Australia today. Nice goldfish - great picture of your Gran, Mrs. Al, - I have been busy having Austar installed. Ian thinks he will be able to have bloke's nights now that is, black coffee, port and blue movies (but I put the kids lock on and he doesn't even know how to turn the tv on!!!) I have been too busy today to find a picture of the family cat.Now I've got Austar you will be relieved to know I won't have time to talk to you all. Huh, don't bet on that - I still need my daily laugh/s.
