Doing a trip like that in a soft roader, I highly recommend you look at 1, upgrading your
suspension or, 2. plan to replace it when you get back (or on the way) the main Peninsula Development road is notoriously corrugated and some parts worse than others and some times worse than others.. it is truly a 'luck of the draw' situation that will make a big difference to how the car goes.. at worst we have had military vehicles destroy their heavy duty
suspension, at best the x trail could do just fine. It all depends on what you cop along the way really.. personally just be aware that you may be up for at least new
suspension and take it easy and you'll have a great trip..the down side of owning a comfortable town 4WD is that it can't do what the serious 4WDs do.. keep that in mind and watch out for snapping hand bags.. have a blast

Thanks Mate. ARB suggested that I at least upgrade the
suspension. Springs and shocks. They say it depends on what wieght I carry, as to what i will need. any suggestion would be appreciated. I am between everything in car or a camper trailor. Cheers
