Hi Campergirl,
Very
well done. Very Brave & a
well written story. You had a bit of luck on your side. Usually Dalhousie Mossies need an Aircraft carrier to land on and are voracious, we called in there for lunch but didn't stay the night.
Storm looked very
well looked after but we love dogs & would hate her to take a bait or step on a trap along a fence. Sometimes traps are painted with stricnine & laid along
the desert dingo side of the fence. They're not sposed to anymore but there's always the chance.
Birds can carry baits for
miles & drop them. We used to muzzle our dogs when traveling & keep them on a lead when walking out of the car. Sounds awful but there is nothing more awful than loosing you faithful friend in that way. I don't mean to put a dampner on your adventurism & I've been picked before but very experienced people have lost their pets this way & by Ticks above the Tickline & in Qld.Take care, safe travels.
With best wishes Ma.
