I hope you have a terrific (& safe) trip Mandrake - and will be interested to read all about it when your return.
Hawker to Parachilna is a "must see", as are
Yulara & Kings Canyon. The
Finke River Gorge is also spectacular - took me a whole day to drive from Kings Canyon to
Hermannsburg! I haven't seen the East MacDonnells because the West was so good and I ran out of time!
