Comment: Exploring the Flinders Ranges - a week of camping and walking - July/A

Hi Heather

Don't bypass Warren Gorge next time. It has a huge area of camps, although we were uncertain about our size and stayed in the car park near the entrance. Two young ladies from Denmark in a small hire van joined us, and seemed afraid to go and camp on their own in the gorge. We took a long walk and found several campers tucked into the well spread out spots; some spots were large enough for big rigs and two caravans shared one of these. For quiet bush camping with visits from friendly wallabies it is ideal.

Now I wish we had parked the van and taken a walk before we decided not to stay. Next time we will.

Thanks,

Motherhen
