Howdy all - just about to embark on a bit of a trip and am working out how many fuel containers to take along - I've only had this vehicle for a couple of months and have run it till the guage is almost on empty (it took 48 litres) but it'd simplify things if I knew for sure what the tank capacity is - it's a standard Hilux dualcab 4WD diesel 2.8litre, 1989 model. It looks like it might only be 50 or 60 litres? Cheers!

Thanks fellas, and I'll be taking your advice fatboy re a bigger tank or a second tank - i've got room where the spare used to go. 65 litres is laughable (what was Toyota thinking???). Cheers, Luke.

Luke,
The responses that you have received are correct, 65 litres. I have the same vehicle as you. I get between 600-700km out of the 65 L tank. A bit more than the 450km.

I have been trying to source a second hand one all this year and no luck. - SA, NT & VIC, have now given up.

Having one fitted this week by ARB $910 - 130 Litre. Believe there has been a price rise since I put in my order though.

Their price, size and fitting price $210 was the best that I was able to get. They say about 2 hours to fit. One company quoted 4 hours labour to fit. (Adelaide).

Regards

Russ
