Just saw this come up on the "australian geoghaphic web site"
Anne Beadell Highway fuel
The roadhouse at Ilkulka, 170 km west of the
WA-SA border, is open, with diesel and some petrol available. Petrol is not available in bulk supply (diesel supply is from a 10,000L underground tank, petrol is only available from a smaller above-ground tank).
Please note that the facilities are built for the use of Aboriginal people who travel between Jamison and Blackstone areas and communities south of the Anne Beadell Hwy. According to roadhouse manager Peter Twigg, visiting motorists have been depleting fuel
reserves at an ever-increasing rate and he has asked that visitors arrive with their own fuel and use their resources sparingly.

Perhaps he should have installed larger tanks. Sounds like a balls up to me, poor planning.
