Hi John and Val

You may be interested to know that several communties and outstations have taken the decisions to dig 200 litre drum of sand (44's in our language) into the road, at a variety of locations, to act as "speed bumps". It was recently tried just behind Mindibingu (Billiluna) and was quite successful. This should slow people down in some areas if they do not want to become airborne. Of course there will be appropriate signage advising people to slow down, and hopefully this will also have the benefit of less vehicle damage.

Over the next few weeks I am going to be plotting some of the back tracks, and some of the waterholes which have fresh water year round, which are not near specific sites. I really like your self-imposed rules of travel.

Travel well this year

Marc
Why travel overseas, you could travel Australia your entire life, and not see it all.
