Comment: Trip Planning - Choosing your travel companions wisely.

Well said Mick,

Travelling in a group can also help with reducing the weight and number of items of equipment carried by sharing items a number of one/two of items.

Interestingly I have been developing an article on the same topic for an up coming magazine column that I write – you must have ESP!!!

Like you I have experienced a number of ‘interesting’ incidents over the years. Yes I agree having a 'trip leader' and clearly articulating up front and preferably at a meeting with everyone present before the trip what is the go and what is expected of everyone goes a long way to having a smooth trip.

Hopefully after that everyone will be on the same page, know what’s expected of them and sadly what could happen if they don’t work with the team.

Again well done Mick, you must have run out of this to blog by now – lol.

Thanks Phil,

Always plenty to write about mate. Heaven help me if I ever manage to digitise my early trip photos! Would love to read your article when finished. Any chance of you posting it as a blog for us to read here. May have to plagiarise some of your ideas and thoughts. Hope to run into you out there one day.

Mick
