Was chasing info on the Boulia to Birdsville road. Want to come dowwn from Mt. Isa to Birdsvillle then to Camerons Corner and on to Wilcannia. Have done the Camerons Corner, Wilcannia area quite a few times but have not come down from Mt. Isa before.

Foxer.
Not recent info but last Aug travelled this road. No real problem at all. Sedan in good condition could make this trip.

1. Check the road condition reports on this site:
http://www.exploroz.com/InfoPages/RoadConditions_QLD.asp

2. Check the RACQ road reports - they say it is now open, but add some cautionAry notes:
http://www.racq.com.au/cgi-bin/roadreport/0213_roadreport.cfm?regionid=4#

3. Check the SA road reports also - they may over lap in S-W Qld:

Cheers

Foxer, from Mr Isa to Boulia is tar (bit skinny though) - Boulia to Bedourie is approx. 200 klms with about 100 of that now tar. Bedourie to Birdsville is almost 200 - about 40 of that is tar. AT the moment (due to the flooding) you have to do an extra 50driving around Lake Machattie - nice countryside though. Road is usually in very good condition. Not sure when you are travelling - gives us a ring if you are worried and will tell you how the road is travelling just before you leave.
