Eric you must remember that I taught her everything she knows.
She said I am now in the bleep and to wait till she gets to work tomorrow so she can post her own comments. LOL.

Hi Eric,
Hate to burst
John's bubble,
But covered a bit of OZ as a kid and learnt to read maps way back then.
Polished my skills in my 20's when wearing green for a livinging & had one of my own special little shovel (like yours)
Boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the Boys certainly enjoyed yesterdays Mud & I don't know you could change the roof colour of a GU patrol so
well.
Great day & thanks for the invite, I will be back - that is, if
John lets me back in the Troopy....

No. I just prefer a paper map to the GPS, at least the brain does not stop functioning when the satellite uplink drops out.

Mrs Al
MG can ride in my Troopy anytime. Who do you think I get to slop around in the mud when we are bogged.
It would be unreasonable to expect me to get my feet muddy, wouldn't it ? After all it is my TRUCK. (Upercase is for the benefit of TrucksterNT)
She claimed that she looks at a computer screen all day for a living and did not want to look at the GPS linked lap top screen in the car, as it reminded her to much of work. So she stuck with the paper one.
I think it's just the green brigade mentality of paper is best.
She should have kept her green shovel it would have come in handy once or twice.
John
P.S. Maybe I should just shut up before I get into more trouble.

MG after reading these threads I know what I'd be using the little green shovel for - hitting. Glad you like to read maps also - me too (and don't anyone else who has been following another thread recently comment it's because I can't read the GPS either) - I prefer maps. Especially when the computer shuts down - loved that.
