Hairs,
"Users of the site know who the moderators are and have the ability through a Member message system to contact any Moderator or particular moderator that has dealt with an issue. For what ever reason a post is Hidden, not removed, the reason is given and the Moderator who has dealt with it, their name is on display. You have the opportunity to edit your post and then contact the moderator to reinstate it."
I thought the all moderators were known on here as Modsquad (how many are there anyway??) LOL
As one who has had a lot of stuff moderated, there is away of contacting them as both a member and visitor. As a member via MM or as a visitor via email. I have found that it is far easier to respond via email to the email notification that you get when something gets moderated.
I didn't think stuff got removed but moderated and hidden like the whirlpool site. As how do they reinstate the occasional thread if they have been removed??
I have argued quite a few of my posts that have been moderated, I have had some wins but also a fair few losses hehehe
I think the edit function would also create a lack of credability to a poster if they had the option to edit their post. Lack of grammer and spelling should not be the cause of being ridiculed, some people find it difficult enough to use the
forum. If there is a mistake with what you post, use the follow up to explain.
It may be an option though if it could be implemented that if you did have the option to edit your posts that the original posts and subsequent edits were visible to all to see, which therefore would give it some credibility. What I mean is that there are some diviates that could change their posts to suit the arguement as they see fit ;)
Also did you know that you can reply to each of the comments and not create a new comment as such ;)
It would also be great if there was a bigger text box for replying to
blogs rather than the 5 lines that is currently available ;)
Cheers Kev
PS see ya in
