I hadn't considered it may be something to do with the front wheel bearings so I'll have them checked out. Had the LHS one replaced at 22,000Km which Mitsubishi replaced under warranty. Also had the RHS bearing replaced at 90,000 Kms. Given that we don't punish the vehicle through very rough terrain and through
water crossings etc I was somewhat surprised when they failed. As a sealed unit I was expecting a longer life expectancy.
I'd like to know what the actual physics of this problem is ie why the vibration kicks in at this engine/vehicle speed - any thoughts?
