Hi WATTS2C. For those of us with solar, a genny is for emergency or one off use. $8,000 sounds extreme for a just in case item. I'd prefer our lightweight petrol Honda 2, which runs quietly for those rare occasions we need the air con or to run bigger power
tools for unexpected repairs. I don't recall us using the genny at all last year in 5 months of travel through 6 states/territories, through hot and cold weather.
