There's worse
places to be stuck in the mud. I recon there would be a great atmosphere in
Birdsville today. Races or no races, the town rocks when it's full of travellers. Don't be supprised if they keep the roads closed for a few more days though.
We got stuck there in July 08 for three days with rain after a simpson crossing. Even with only a dozen or so other refugees, we had a ball and the crowd at the Pub do look after you
well.
You wanted an adventure.......welcome to the Outback.
