I have a Kia Sportage and i don't know where i can put hook points for a snatch strap. My question is then, can i loop a cable or strap around the part of the chassis that comes down and joins what i think is the wish bone to be snatched in an emergency.

vin57.

I had kia Sportage and I found that if you go to place that deals with universal nuts & bolts and get rid of your tie down hooks and drill a couple of holes through the chassy and there you are some snatch points. They are a bloddy stong chassy no two ways about it built like a preverbial bleep house, trust me I have taken mine to place others wouldn't.
