Hi Michael,
You didn't mention what year model your Jayco is, so that I can get an idea of which
water pump you have. If it is the white plastic flat pump with a low handle, it can be replaced with a model which looks identical but which is not as it has another
water inlet at the base for the 12 volt pump discharge line to attach to. This pump is in fact a three way pump as it not only uses the hand motion from the onboard
tank, but also the 12 volt electric pump, and also mains pressure from the tap. First thing you need to find out is whether there are power lines underneath your sink. If so, are they 240v or 12v, as this is the line you tap into for power to your 12v DC pump. These pumps are available at a wholesaler in A.C.T. called RV Leisure Parts & Accessories or similar name. They also supply the taps and countless other bits and pieces. This was the only place on the internet not only in Australia, but also the USA, that I could find that sold these items. Not even Jayco could supply the taps and pumps. I e-mailed them and they could not help me out when I had a broken tap. Funny that, considering they are fitted to Jayco OUTBACK poptops. I have an Outback FINCH 2001. My brother has an Outback Swan, with exactly the same tap as
mine. The reason I had to chase up a new tap was because I broke the old one, and so changed over to the electric pump model at the same time. Be warned !!!! when you get onto the website and look at the taps,( providing they are the same tap as I have ) that both the electric pump model and the normal pump model, look exactly the same, so be sure of what you are ordering the right one before paying for it. The stock numbers are nearly the same also. That is as much as I can help you with, so goodluck. Cheers, Lyndon.
