Comment: Rudall River - A hard days slog in search of Darlsen Pinnacle

Well done Mick O,

That sure was one busy day and I know that I slept very well that night.......nothing to do with the brown sleeping tablets either..lol lol

Just another brilliant day touring. Thanks for the memories, oh! and some very good pictures too.

BTW how do you think an F250 (properly prepared of course) would fare in the country that we covered???

Cheers
MJ

That’s a big rig with almost a tennis court between the axles. It’d need some height and I reckon its main issue would be its axle widths. It’s cruising through real estate that won’t have been touched by lead vehicles meaning tyre concerns and hard going in sandy country. Probably a bit like the off set in the new 79 series cruisers. I looked at all the videos last night and hadn’t realised just how steep that bank was on the other side. We had to do some digging even to get your troopy up there. I see a re-write coming on.

If it rains heavily up there in the next few months I’m seriously thinking of going back for a month. Interested? Thanks for the tow lol.
