Comment: Product Review No.4 - Redarc BMS1215 / Redarc BCDC 1220 DCDC charger/SB

This comment might be a bit late but is relevant to REDARC and their products.

I fitted a Redarc SmartStart® SBI12 in 2006 as part of a dual battery system I installed. In 2010 I was on a lengthy trip and just after emerging from the Bungle Bungles I started hearing a consistent click emerging from the REDARC Isolator.
This led me to conclude the unit was faulty. I sent REDARC an email on a Sunday morning asking for their advice on what might be wrong. Two hours later, I received a call from a REDARC representative who spoke to me for at least 15 minutes to help me resolve my issues.

I was fairly impressed that they called me back and even more impressed they did it so promptly on a Sunday. I was just hoping for a reply to my email in a few days time. That is real after sales service. As an aside, the REDARC Unit was not faulty and continues to work perfectly.

I am now in the market for a DC-DC charger and I will be buying REDARC rather than a lesser priced unit.

Cheers WBS. I too could not speak highly enough of Redarcs customer service although mine has basically been confined to advice as nothing has stuffed up ;-)

There's a certain comfort to buying an Australian product, one that's made here, serviced here and their R&D is aimed at meeting local needs.
