Thanks for your response to my question regarding solar and battery setup. Your reply has helped me to some degree. We are retiring at the end of June this year, so imagine our first big trip will start around May of 2012, where we intend to travel with our Tvan for approximately 6 months each year. As part of our setup we plan to run one 40l Engel fridge as a fridge in the Tvan with the two 100amp AGM batteries, whilst in our 100 series turbo diesel we will run the second 40l Engel as a freezer & it will be run by one 100amp deep cycle battery. Before next year we will need to explore our solar power requirements to in short run these two 40 litre Engels, hence why I was asking you the question. I am now reading the various parts of your blog and must say it is interesting reading and at this stage I am quite envious. Between now and our first big trip next year we are just trying out our new Tvan, but can say we love it so far, it travels so well behind our Cruiser, is very comfortable in its different modes of setup & likewise sleep with our heads at the opening of the Tvan. I imagine you would quiteoften be asked about your Tvan when you are travelling, as we have already noted from our short trips away. Thanks again. Russell
