Follow up to post 11287 re Outback Challenge. I have contacted Paul Vanderhorst who runs the Outback Challenge, the website host has disappeared causing update problems. Information about the challenge and spectators can be obtained by Fax 03 9723 2022

Some of you may noticed that I've deleted Truckster's post as it was too long. I did this after a phone call with the organisers, Sharon and Paul Vanderhorst.
Basically the event is all booked up by participants and even spectactors.
The main details are:
Date: May 15th - 22nd inclusive
Venue:
Broken Hill - 3 venues
Cost:
The spectator package 8-day pass is available at a cost of $350 per person (inclusive of GST). Children under 16 are free of charge.
Payment can be made in two parts, half upon application and remainder by March 30th.

at $350 a person payment can be made to the looney bin to put you in instead!
that price is obscene...
How many in the car Diamond? 2 adults and 6 kids? $2800 JUST TO GET IN... then petrol, food, etc etc..
