We spent 3 nights there in June '09. Loved the place, even the resident emu in the campground, was friendly.
Listened to the owner, Peter Severin telling a few yarns in the bar one night.
He tells one about Mt. Conner, and since many tourist driving west think they are seeing Uluru in the distance, when Mt. Connor first comes into view, the locals have nicknamed Mt. Connor, Fooleroo.
He also said that before all the development at Ayers Rock, all the fresh
water out there was carted from Curtain Springs.
It's a great stop over.
