If your heading this way. Would not miss Welford NP. Fanstastic for the self sufficent !!! Beautiful river side
camping. Nice 4x4 tracks. Fishing & Relaxing. A beautiful place to stop over night or a couple weeks. Make sure you check RE: the roads.
Also on the road between
Quilpie and Welford NP. After the turn off from the highway. There is a massive LAKE just off the beaten track - it is beautiful again self sufficent only. No amenties - beautiful
bush camping.
