great blog, I checked every night hoping for a post, very informative for me as we are planning to do the similar trip same time next year, thanks again for a great blog.

Hi Jason Thanks for the compliment...as you have read we started planning for this a year ago by coming over to the Melbourne 4x4 show and doing a lot of reading and watching...mainly bloody Roothie and his 4x4 action mag!!

That man has cost us a lot of money but it has all been worth it...as you can read below we are having second thoughts about going home...perhaps the kids will have to look after the house and the dog for a bit longer.
