Comment: The desert oak.

David and Kerry,

Great blog on one of my favourite trees. I’ve commented often that I don’t feel complete on a desert trip until I’m camped under the desert oaks and can hear the wind singing through the trees. They also make a spectacular photographic subject at sunset and the spent, dried seed pods are like miniature briquettes on a camp fire.

You’ve got me aching to be out bush again. Cheers Mick

Thanks Mick.

I appreciate your comment. Like everyone else I read yours - great source of info. We have seen some of your quad tracks, and markers that I assume were yours, in Rudall NP.

I have a pic of the desert oaks as my start up screen - mistake - daydream and drool too long!

Cheers David
