Comment: Acacia - or Wattle. To celebrate Wattle Day, September 1st.

Hi Val

What a great read and great pictures. The great in depth story over the forum looks the way to go.

Thanks again for the time that you have put into this.

Cheers

Hi Stephen,
I was surprised at the amount of info that my research turned up, so I thought that I would try this approach. I'm fairly pleased with the result but I don't have photos of some of the things that I wanted. I still like posting on the forum in the hope that others will follow your lead (thank you) and post their photos.

Funny about Wattle Day. My memory of it as a kid was that it was always on 1st August, so I was annoyed when Ros Kelly - remember her - changed it to Sept 1 back in the early 90s. It now seems I owe her an apology. Oh dear!

Cheers,

Val.
