Comment: The Pilbara - “Hang on Guys, I’ve got a little problem with my traile

Gidday Mick, allways possible to fix something thats broke with enough equipment on trips like you guys do. I think the old saying is "necessity is the mother of invention". I remember a bloke who lived in Carnarvon in the late 1920's early 1930's who vulcanised a tobacco tin lid to a tube as he had run out of patches. He had a lot of interesting stories of those early days in that area, he had photos of the 1927 flood in Carnarvon and surroundings of that time. I wish I had written everything down at the time, but when you are younger you tend not to think about recording it.
Thats whats good about blogs like yours, people in 50 odd years time can reflect on what other people did in their lives.
Cheers

Cheers Rob. I must admit we're getting a tad more sophisticated with the welding now. Pretty soon we'll be dragging out a gennie and a caddy unit lol. Yes I'm forever impressed by the levels of ingenuity out there and what people can do, and have done to keep going. I reckon I might have to get David to add a "Outback or Bush Mechanics" tag for the blogs. It'd be good to have easy access to a repository of combined bush knowledge.

Thanks for the comments. Appreciate them. Mick
