The photos are amazing, and the trip on the ferry sounds incredible. We've wondered about paying that much money as to take a caravan and car, as
well as 4 kids, and 2 adults it costs a fortune. Maybe we could look at it as a luxury cruise experience?

There is no cheap way to get to Tassie, so for a little extra you may as
well go in style. The cost to us for 2 adults, deluxe cabin, car and Van, was just over $1600. This can be off-set by the considerable options for free-
camping, and reasonably priced fruit/vegies from markets and roadside stalls. Van parks were also cheaper than the mainland. Diesel was about the same price as mainland. Please note that not all deluxe cabins are the size of the one we fluked.
