Hello All.
I am looking for a repairer/service centre etc to check the speedo on my Mazda Tribute.

Most people I have spoken to recommend RACQ, however they are unable to check a constant 4WD, (or auto 4WD like the Tributes) as their machines only allow front or rear wheels to be on the machine - they do not have a 4 wheel system.

I believe my speedo is over-reading so obviously want to check it asap.

Does anyone know of a place in Brisbane where it can be tested (short of buying a GPS and heading out on the highway).

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Adam.
Just love my Mazda Tribute!

Try your local Mazda dealer. If that does not work, speedo reco place could be the go.

Beg, steal or borrow someone's GPS.
It's the most accurate check you can get.
Alternately time your speedo against the measured kilometre markers on various roads around Bris. (eg: Bald Hills on the Bruce Highway) I was doing that for years before I had a GPS.
too easy..
It fascinates me how many people drive around ASSUMING their speedo is accurate without actually checking it.

Thank you all for your responses.

Much appreciated.

I incorrectly wrote my speedo over reading - in fact it is under reading which is worse still.

Think I'm off to buy myself a GPS to check it out. Incidentally, I will post the results.

Thanks again.
