Hi Jenny thank you,
we have a Jayco sterling Outback van..smallest length you can get at around 18 ft. Have added solar panels, a second battery, also sealant underneath and on the roof. We found the cause of the dust entering the van on the last day of the track...a crack and hole in the sullage outlet pipe under the rear corner ensuite caused by deflected stone. It is currently taped up and has solved the problem for the time being...until we return home we hope. We have found it great...and don't mind being off the bitumen. Only drawback is its weight..2 1/2 tonne fully laden.
We have owned it since new and this is our fourth winter away however we usually spend around 6 months of each year travelling in it and it is very comfortable even for months at a time. I do love the ensuite, the hot
water, the full oven and our 184 litre 2 door fridge /freezer. We don't have a microwave oven but don't miss it at all. Have a gas heater which runs on butane canisters when we are unpowered which is quite a lot of the time.
Regards,
Heather
