My sincere condolences on your loss.
I've seen many 1080 poisonings (having worked as a vet for 30 years) and they are a horrific way for an animal to die. I feel sorry for the wild dogs that die that way.
In terms of practical advise in these situations, to be frank there isn't much hope if the animal has eaten a full dose. If you see them eat the bait, make them vomit straight away. If your dog is already showing signs, I'm sorry to say the chances of survival are grim. One needs to make a decision regarding the pain and torment it will go through over the next hour or more and act decisively.
