A terrific blog Stephen; a most enjoyable read indeed.

I often stop and pick a few big red quandong when they're fruiting. Although they are very tart I enjoy them. Of course I check to make sure they don't have added protein; I've been caught a few times.

I still can remember as kids eating the very tart Quandongs and thought why would you ever eat them. What I will try this year is the kernel and what they taste like. If I live to do a report, you will know that they were not that bad...LOL
