Sounds like your mate is taking the same route that The Leyland Brothers did in 1966. They produced a movie called '
Wheels Across The Wilderness'. They did it tough not like us who have fridges, GPS, Turbos and massive amounts of torque and power. They had a short wheel base 4cylinder and long base 6 cylinder Landrovers.
