recently picked up one, have had very little to do with them. Anyone had any experience with this model

I have had one now for 12 months and think that its great.
Easy to use and programe.I also bought the dash mount and 12volt
adaptor.It has never played up and the points I put in to it for the
Simpson Desert were spot on.

What mapping programme did you use,
mine has only the basic US maps as when bought and some of those have been deleted, as the unit had been on demo. I have got the 12v power adapter and the USB cable for the computer.

I have just the basics.Each time I do a trip I find the points I am going to,punch them in and save the other interesting points as I go.
