Kayaking in the Simpson Desert.

High on the list of most four-wheel drivers “to do list” would be a Simpson Desert crossing. Those that do the crossing will either fall into one of two categories and we have come across both

Hi Stephen.
Thanks for that. I cried at Annandale too, my Grandparents lived there whilst working for S. Kidman.
The waterhole was full when we were there & having worked on cattle stations ourselves we'd never seen flies like it.
I believe that my grandparents went there shortly after their marriage in 1914.
The Mortons, are my cousins, but have rarely met. I still don't know the true story of the children.
I don't really want to go back there, as I said, I cried, I broke my heart!
How I wish I'd known I would've wanted to ask my grandparents so much, but I was only a teenager before Grandpa died & Grandma went senile.

We're interested in doing this Maralinga & Cook adventure next Holidays but we're loners so we'll have to get onto Robin.

Hi Sally

Annandale is always a special place to visit ans we have been lucky to see the area with no water at all, to water as far as the eye can see. For us it was the ultimate Simpson adventure that we could do, having travelled the area countless times.

We are back to Maralinga next year with a very small group and hope to see even more places that are usually out of bounds.

Robin is a top guy and a true friend.

Have a great trip and yes it is worth heading there.
