Comment: Escaping hospice for another bush camping adventure

Update: Well that was an adventure.
Made it to Carnarvon with the intent of hitting Rocky Pool for a few weeks
Masde it is the operative word as we limped in over the last 5 kms with an over heating issue - initially we thought tha tit was minor... initially that is.
Next day after rAC took a quick look we found that we had done a head...
Thank goodness for RAC memebership and the Ultimate package... they arrange accomodation and a truck lift back down to Geraldotn.
Spent 5 hours in the company of "Jumbo" our delightfully informative truck driver as we drove back to the Landrover Dealership in Geraldton.
Found a caravan park... pitched the tent and unloaded the vehicle and proceeded to camp the next 5 nights in rain and stormy weather but with AC power and a small electirc heater as wella s a camper kitchen to keep us comfortable.
Eric was fairly unwell and unable to walk far so we were confined to the tent area and campers kitchen. Loads of books were read...thank goodness for the kindles.
The car was ready Wednesday night and so we relaoded and took off Thursday morning south... ended up at Lake Indoon. Flies were getting somewhat fierce but died down whrn the wind came up.
Great little spot - hot water showers and flushing toilets - even drinking water is available - and the ranger/caretaker Laurie is just wonderful.
Eric was getting more mobile so we took off to stockyard gully caves and had a wonderful day 4 wding along the tracks taking photos of wildflowers and picnicking.
The last night Laurie the caretaker dropped off some scrumptious duhfish he had caught that morning. Just superb dusted in flour and fried up with potatoes. Feast fit for the finest. Thank you Laurie... you are an angel.

Next night we stopped at the New Norcia pub and then it was time for home.
We set up camp, put out the solar and sat abck to watch the world at the lake unfold.
