Following the Big Wet - 2011 Trip – Part 7: The northern Flinders Ranges.

Next morning we made slow progress with lots of stops for wildflowers, mainly red and blue flowered Eremophilas, quandongs and mistletoe.

BTW I think you will find that camping charges at Arkaroola are $18 per 2 people in i vehicle not $18 per person.

Thanks for that. I have just googled the Arkaroola rates and yes you are correct. However when we enquired at reception we were told $18 per person. We were so astonished that we double checked and that rate was confirmed. Also the campsites we were directed to would not have covered an area of more than a couple of hectares - not the 300 ha referred to on the website. When we checked out the campsites they certainly didn't look good value for the quoted fee, so we went elsewhere. Maybe more staff training required? And yes we could have researched it beforehand but generally prefer to take it as it comes.
