Comment: "Destination Unknown" Day 14 - Racing the rain south to Broken Hill (vi

I'm finding blogs from people who were in the same area at the time when we were there extremely interesting, particularly comments about the weather. We had spent a very comfortable night at Lyndhurst pub as it rained all night. We were due to go on to Mungerannie on 14th but with rain all night and three trucks stopped there and declining to go north for a day or so we decided that it was not our year. My dream for the Birdsville Track is bright sunshine and a trail of dust. Didn't want to do it in drizzle and mud. And I hate mud. Give me dust any day.
Mick O, I followed your blogs with great interest as I am following yours John & Val. Reading your material beats the daylights out of watching telly!

Cheers Kevin. Glad you're enjoying them. Yes we had some great weather but a couple of incidents of rain which always puts a dampner on things (pardon the pun). Just wish I could find the time to put more video's together. Thanks for the kind words. Hopefully 2012 will be the year for you on the Birdsville. I'll probably be up that way with the Crown Prince as we hope to get into the Simpson.

Safe Travels, Mick
