Thanks Joe for this most interesting blog. That ship sure was a huge and what a coup to get it docking in Hedland.
Apart from helping the local economy along it also showcased some of the amazing (to me anyhow)
infrastructure that is required to ship out iron ore.

Thank you also for the comment, I have been informed the local economy has prospered from the ship to shore visitors, spending money and time in the Port community.
I can't quite agree with the "Glory" side of mining and shipping ore ~ I seem only see the negatives when it comes to this brutal industry, but thats just how it is, lots of people see it entirely the other way ~ simply no connection to the land I guess.
