My Tyredog sensors have monitors that screw on the valve stem (replacing the valve cap) and can be 'locked' on with the aid of a lock ring & allen key. Each is 'wheel-specific' ( ie FF,RR etc to match the screen diagram), thus easily moved from a punctured wheel to its' replacement.
But if you have ones that fit inside the tyre, are they 'wheel specific' and what about its' replacement - does that mean you have to buy sensors for your spares as
well? And remember to tell the tyre fitter that one is fitted so he's careful to not damage it, and to retrieve it!
happy travelling
Mark

In a word Mark, Yes. I specifically bought and 8 sensor kit that was expandable. As I carry two fully prepared spare wheels and tyres I have the sensors in these as
well. I also have the trailer tyres fitted as
well. In most cases, if the
puncture is minor, a plug will suffice so I don't actually have to change the wheel and tyre. The valve mounted sensors are an advantage in that sense and the fact that they can be used on tube tyres as
well.
Cheers Mick
