Hi Baz ...... yes a "hot" subject but will be a highly debated subject in years to come i dont doubt....... i have noticed the rise in comments about crowding and rubbish in frre camps and it will get a lot worse is my gues and probally very quickly also ........ i reminds me of a situation in the
Pilbara on the council i worked for, we have problems with the rubbish
bins in the truck stops always getting full and rubbish everyware around them, looked shocking, our engineers suggestion was to REMOVE the
bins, we bieng
young n smart .... said it would never work as where would they put there rubbish, as he explained the average traveller stops and emptys the rubbish out of the car only simply because there IS a bin there, even when it is full they will place little bags of rubbish beside the
bins thinking they are doing the right thing, you remove the
bins and they DO NOT leave rubbish behind ......
My thoughts are that we will have most of the free camps closed up or at least "controlled" in a few years, reasons will range from rubbish to it being a "park" or private land ...... the govt, councils and towns dont have any form of economy if people dont spend there money, it is fairly simple, they also hold the power to close these
places down so really we do the voting with our own pockets and if we complain and dont spend it simply will get shut down, my honest opinion is we probally have to much money these days, we are time poor only, we certainally can afford to stay at the provided accomodation as we spend many thousands on caravans and camper set-ups so money is not the reason at all ....
