Dunno....might rust your bum :-)))))

Not sure if the chemicals which you have to use will mix with the salt water.

If you are not using a chemical it may do for a stopgap situation(no pun intended)

Dear Friar,

Forget the Porta Potty - nasty environmentally unfriendly, difficult to dispose of chemicals etc. Buy a Thunderbox!

If you use salt water in a urinal you run the risk of getting a buid up of a gas called H2S (rotten egg gas) very bad. You need a couple of things to get it one is human waste another is salt water and the other is a not very ventilated space.
Too much of a risk for my taste. This gas kills as well if you take in a small amount.
Im not talking from experience with porta poties only ships and there sewage system.

There was a post reagrding this in the archives. I think the manufacturer of the Haymen Reece chemicals said it worked OK for fresh or salt water.

For short trips where we dont need to empty the potti on the road, I have an access point to the sewerage pipe in my front yard. Its about 100mm wide and has 8 screws in it. Easy to undo and pour the conents in. Saves splashing crap all up the dunny walls, or finding a spot out in the bush.

Cheers,

Glenno.
