A hearty filling favourite, ideal for the
camp oven....
Farmer's Casserole with cheese dumplings
400g rump, cubed Marinate in sauce during the day if possible
1 carrot Dice all the vege's, I like em chunky!
2 potatoes fry in oil on high heat about 10 min
2 celery stalks set aside
1/2 capsicum
1 onion Brown the meat, no need to
cook thoroughly
1tab oil combine meat, veg and sauce in
camp oven
simmer for 1 hour, lid on
Dumplings Meanwhile, combine dumpling ingredients
1 cup SR flour and roll into small dumplings (they grow slightly)
1/2cup grated cheese Place on top of casserole, and bake 30 min, lid on
1 tab butter
1/4cup
water ENJOY!
Marinade / sauce
1 tab oil
1 garlic clove
2 tsp curry powder
1 tab chutney
2 tsp vinegar
2 tsp soy sauce
2 tsp sugar
1 tab cornflour
opt. bit of red wine to taste
