G'day Folks An odd title to my story I agree, but it will make sense ~ hopefully. I am not an overly active "blogger" but when something flicks my switch and I think its a worthwhile subjuct,

I sympahise with you and only know to well how mining is taking over the country.

I can't left on too much as I will feel the retribution from the company I work for. Statement from a high up figure. Quote "We will get the EPA's approval all we have to do is make enough noise".

I know you worked at Newman for many years and I have worked in the mining industry now for many years. Once things ticked along at a controlled pace. Now it seems that we want to turn every bit of this land into a quarry. Rape and pillage as quickly as possible and just leave behind holes in the ground. Australia will look like the moon in 50 years.

Access is being denied in an alarming number of places for the good of the travellers so the companies will say.

Thanks for the story and photo's. I better go because if I start about mining companies I won't stop.

As for the ones that deface native art, remove things and break objects as they have done at Kings canyon I don't think we will ever change that.

My quote for this story!!!!! If it is in the way bulldoze it and if it is not in the way blow it up.

Thanks for your comment, yes its almost a no brainer at times when you actually see what the "industry" gets away with, I believe the "industry" tells the government as little as possible ~ so they can get away with as much as possible.
The state government in control at the present time here in WA, is hell bent on selling our heritage through the "industry" to the highest bidder.

I have heard things said by mining industry executives that would make a black man turn white, at times I think these so called Guru's of the industry get reprogrammed mentally by their respective companies ~ they seem not to see the wrong in what they are doing at times.

One guru actually stated to his group of minions "you won't even know we were here in 200 hundred years time ~ thats how good our rehabilitation works is".

I nearly choked on my spit !!!
