Joe,
I showed a person at work (who knows your family) some of your photos taken at
Newman. They were the ones of the highrise Dongas and where they were placed. Rip, rip, doze, doze and get rid of nature.
Tis a shame but as you and I know when you speak no one listens and when the heads of mining companies speak it is page 1.
I am not anti making a dollar and I don't have the tall poppy syndrome problem but unless the balance is restored our mining companies will and are becoming like the all powerful Wall Street lot. Answer to no one and when you screw up get the government to help you out.
Mean while the environmental damage is done and can never be repaired.
I was lucky enough to work on a property when I was
young that was years ahead when it came to looking after the land and that included large earthmoving plant. They were years ahead at the time.
RA.

G'day Rockape
Now you have me thinking ~ about the person who knows the family, as not too many people openly admit to knowing me ?
As you say "I am not anti making a dollar" ~ we all need to earn a living and if its not done illegally, immorally, indecently or improperly it has to be ok.
There are far to many doccumented cases of mining companies, stock brokers, bankers, politicians and many so called pillars of society who fall into the mire of dishonesty and greed.
I can only guess if the temptations and rewards are big enough and the moral fibre of the people in control weak enough, they will buckle.
I'm not a moralist, but I am a realist.
